just got back last week. Had the pina colada, but didn't eat much ( i wasn't feeling well) my family loved the food though. (great nachos) i can't believe i missed the coconut ice cream!! gorgeous beach, would go back in a second. others on the ship complained about the crowds on the other beaches, so i'm glad we chose nachi.:)

Where is this place exactly? On what part of the island? My older daughter and I are going the end of Nov.---would this be a diverse thing for the 2 of us?

it's just about 15/20 mins from the downtown docks...closer if you dock at the international docks. i enjoyed the quiet of it...just laid out and watched the water.

this website has photos and menus:

Carol: Thanks so much for posting that video. I'll have to try that one, but Nachi's has rum, gin, coco lopez, and about five other ingredients. I guess I'll just have to build on that video recipe and keeping trying until October, huh? Thanks, again.

I am planning my trip to Cozumel and would like to try Nachi Cocom. Is there a fee? Do we need to make reservations? Basically any info that I need to know would be greatly appreciated. We have been to Paradise b4 but wanted to go somewhere new. The idea of a pool is really nice and from the pictures it looks like the bar is right there :D

Thanks.

it's not that big of a place. when you check in they escort you to your thatched, shade area with 2 loungers. even if you don't stay there, it's your spot for the day. i can't remember if there are more then 8? we had the 1st one, right off the dining area...near the dock. where they put you will depend on how many are there before you.

We have never been to the Western caribbean and so we have never had to tender and I don't know how long that takes.

I need advice.....if we are in Coz only from 10am to 6pm and after allowing time to get ashore plus the drive here, do you think it would be worth the $100 for us for that short period of time?

I really want to go, but having never been to Coz I didn't know if there might be a better option with another beautiful beach.

Thanks everybody!!!!

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, and I haven't been there yet...2 more weeks! But, we're practically in the same place as you...only we're there from 8am to 4pm. I thought the price was plenty worth it for the lack of crowds, use of their beach and pool, plus all the food and drinks I want or need! Just my 2 cents! Maybe someone else can give you some more insight.

I haven't had to tender in Cozemel but when I have had to tender the time it takes depends on the lines to get off the ship after that it usually only takes about 15 to 20 mins. There is basically no wait to get a taxi. The taxi ride just depends on how far it is from the pier. I think I read it's about 10 miles. As for it being worth it really depends on how much you are going to eat and drink.

I went to Paradise Beach the last time I was in Coz and it was fine; free to get in, free beach chairs/loungers w/umbrella if you buy drinks and/or food. Nice shower area, clean bathrooms, didn't eat but read the food is good, no problem getting a taxi back. I just hear now it gets really crowed if you get there late. It is very pretty. The taxi ride was about 20 mins maybe a bit more but not too bad. You can see how many ships are going to be in port that day to determine if it will get crowded.

I am interested this time in Nachi Cocom b/c I want to try somewhere new. I am going to drink $50.00 worth of drinks for sure :D

Hope this helps.

I didn't have to tender in Cozumel. But our taxi ride was very short - under 10 minutes I think. My sister and I and my two daughters 21 and 16 were there. None of us drink and I still think it was definitely worth the money - just to be on that private of a beach. It was so beautiful. When we got there (during spring break) there were only 2 other people there. It never did get crowded. I loved the water, the food and the view.

We did not tender at Coz either but even if you had to it would probably only take 20 minutes or so. The drive there is about 15 minutes. So if you are looking to get there by say 11 am and you leave at 4:30 or 5 to get back to your ship, that gives you 5 1/2 to 6 hours there. IMO that is more than enough time to make it worth the $100. Nachi is a very beautiful and relaxing beach area. You will absolutely love it! The meal was extremely good. We didn't even have room for dessert. And the staff was very attentive. We were only there for about 4 hours and I think we got our money's worth. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for the great responses. I only mentioned having to tender in Coz because I thought it was the only way to get ashore. If we don't have to do that then that would save some time too!!!

I really, really want to go here and as you said we would probably have at least 4 to 5 hours and for us that's about all we want anyway.

Thanks again everybody......Ya'll are the best!!!!

Carol:

It looks like you'll be there the week before I will. I was planning on just playing Cozumel Mini-Golf and going to Pancho's Backyard. Now, though, I want to go back to Nachi. When I was there, there was an entry fee, and you bought your food and drink ala carte. I think the all-inclusive deal is pretty cool. All the yummy pink drinks I can handle!

I mentioned going to either there Nachi Cocom or Mr Sanchos Beachclub to the other members of my Birthday Party cruise , I cant wait till they decide what they are all doing ...LOL

Some wanted beach , some wanted pool...

so it had to be one of these two beaches that we choose

and seeing they both do packages now

they can do a la carte or inclusive somewhat

if they want

:p

I go every year for my birthday , same week in October :D

next year we should be in BARBADOS for my birthday

Gives me something to look forward to every year ....

I cant wait !!

My DH and I just returned from Nachi and we both loved it!!!!!!!!!!

We were with one other couple and had the whole place to our selves. They pampered us!!

We felt like kings and queens. We went snorkeling. It was for 2 hours and we paid 80.00 total. We had the best time. It was beautiful. Our guide took us to two different places. The first was shallow so we could see the variety of fish. It was unbelievable. Then he took us to the reef - we were able to see the scuba divers and all sorts of caves, fish, etc. Breathtaking!!!

When we got back, they had drinks waiting on us - DH drank Coronas with a twist, I had the margaritas - wow!! I had about 5 - and was feeling no pain. We never had to ask for anything - they were perfect host.

The water is hard to explain, clear and a perfect blue. Oh, I miss it!!!

Would recommend this to anyone. Would go back anyday.

We split the cost of the taxi with the other couple. So, we paid 15.00 total. They called the taxi for us when we got ready to leave.

Perfect!!
