Nachi Cocom snorkel excursion question

Recommended Posts

The price was $35 per person when we did this in February.

I am sorry, I do not know the names of the reefs we went to. It was the best snorkeling we have ever done, we saw tons of fish, and a nurse shark, and lots of coral. The man who does the excursion brings along bread to throw into the water, and fish will swarm around you.

De Nada.

Do they provide a float vest? All of the other equipment?

They provided all equipment if you needed it. DH and I had our own. We prefer not to use snorkel vests.

He did not have snorkel vests, he had regular life jackets. The other man who went on the boat with us asked for one, and turned it over backwards and laid on top of it (so that the back was on his stomach), and it worked very well for him.

One thing I used when I was learning how to snorkel was a foam "water noodle"--those things they sell at Walmart for $1 that are about 4 feet long or so--you might stick one of these in your luggage to take with you, they give you the security you need, but you can also ditch it to dive if you like.
