Beach, Food, Drinks

Will be in Caymen next week. Plan on spending the day at 7 Mile Beach, love the beach and water there. Any info about a good place to have cab drop us (wife and I) off at for good food and drinks reasonably priced on the beach. Not necessarily looking for anything fancy, just a nice place to spend the day - sun, shade, water, food, and drinks.

You might try Royal Palms or Sea Grape. Both are along the 7MB stretch, but Royal Palms is closer to the port area than SG. Both offer food, drinks, restrooms, chair rentals, and water rentals. I am not sure how much shade is either of these places.

Food and drink, everything really, is expensive in Grand Cayman. If you do eat or drink, make sure and look at your bill. Most of the time a tip will already be added on. We always use a credit card, and have had no problems with fees or anything along that line.

Here's Royal Palms website (The Reef Grill is at RP's). I think they have two webcams, so you can look at those and get an idea of what the place looks like.

Here's Kirk's website. They offer water activities at Royal Palms.

Sea Grape doesn't have a website, that I've found, but here's Red Sail's website. They offer water activities at SG.

If you go to webshots.com, and do a search for these two places, quite a few pictures should pop up.
