Liquor stores in Seattle

We are leaving on the Oosterdam out of Seattle on 8/2. Does anyone know of any liquor stores between the airport and the pier. We would like to bring wine but don't want to take it on the plane. We will probably be taking a taxi......approximately how many miles is it?

Liquor stores in Seattle are run by the state and generally sell only hard alcohol. In the downtown Seattle area they are few and far between and if all you want to purchase is wine I would recommend going to a grocery store called QFC (Quality Food Center). When we visited Seattle last year we stopped at this store almost daily. It was awesome. They had a good selection of wine. There are several of them around the city and there is one located about 2 miles from Terminal 30 at

Qfc

2707 Rainier Avenue South

Seattle WA 98144

There is a WA state store here:

18617 INTERNATIONAL BLVD

It is right across the street from the Double Tree Sea-Tac.

Not sure if you have to be a guest to use it from the Double Tree (we came in the night before) but we made a resv with Seattle Express $12/pp so perhaps you could just catch a cab over to the Double Tree, walk across the street to the store (opens at 11:00), and then catch the shuttle from there. May save you a few dollars off the cab but probably not much as I believe it's around $35.00.

We were on the Oosterdam 5/31-6/6. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

There is one close to the pier on Washington State Liquor Store at 4th ave at 1702 4th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134, (206) 587-5687. It is about a mile away, just south of the baseball stadium on 4th, catch a cab from the pier or have a cab stop on the way.

You can get some wines at a state liquor store (actually called Liquor and Wine on their signs), or in any grocery store. Are you staying in Seattle at all before your cruise? There are several good places downtown to shop for wine: A wine shop in the Market, and a very nice wine selection at DeLaurenti's grocery in the Market.

If you are going straight from the airport to the terminal, I would suggest stopping at the liquor store directly across from the Doubletree and behind the Drury Inn Airport (as mentioned in above post). Even if you aren't staying at the hotel, perhaps you could use the free hotel shuttle to get in the vicinity, and then either take the Seattle Express (unless there is a rule you have to stay at the hotel?) from the hotel. We stopped at that liquor store, and the nice lady helped us pick out some good local wines. We also used the Seattle Express, which picked us up directly at the airport hotel (on time!) and was much cheaper than taking a cab. You can make reservations online for the time you choose to be picked up. Enjoy your cruise:)
