Have seen this mentioned in few places.

 

what is a Canadian Equivalent ??? can Canadians get discounts with proof of age (drivers licence or passport)

Not sure if this is what you are referring to, but the Golden Age Access Card is a National Parks Pass that costs $10.00 for a lifetime for anyone age 62 or older.

 

I couldn't answer the question about Canadians applying for it, but I would sure try it.

 

The pass also entitles the holder to receive a 50% discount on camping fees at National parks and admits anyone who is riding with the passholder into any National Park or National Monument, etc., regardless of age. The full details can be found on the National Parks website.

 

This will be the first thing I get on my 62nd birthday!
