Anyone done Europe with 2 babies?

Hi at time of cruise my babies will be 2+ and 9-12 months old. Anyone done europe with infants and any tips, no-nos etc especially during excursions. I guess the onboard would be similar right to any location. What ports are best for a couple with 2 small babies (travelling with not too much expectation)?

I have been to Europe with a then 2.75 year old and it turned out to be fine. He slept most of the way over and on the train. The time change never seemed to impact him and we didn't have that problem.

 

My days were spent wheeling him around in the stroller or swimming in the indoor heated pool. He was potty-trained.

 

Would I take a nine month old and a 2 year old all the way to Europe. No. It is too expensive, takes too long to get to Europe and their are too many unknowns- will the baby's ears hurt on the flight or be teething, will the 2 year have an ear infection, strep throat, etc. The kids aren't going to get much out of such a trip. Many of the ports are tendering ports, which will be hard with little ones- long lines, rocky journey, difficulty getting on and off the tenders.

 

Having said that, you can get fairly good deals on cruises off season and would pick Carnival because they do offer some babysitting at night for the 9 month old and activities for the 2 year old.
