donna1169 Posted July 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Hello- Hubby and I are cruising next year, can anyone tell us about the glass blowers factory in Cabo and the zoo in Puerto Vallarta. Are they worth checking out, easy to get to? We were also looking into Stone Island in Mazatlan and maybe horseback riding or a canopy tour. This is our first time so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks Donna and Eric

Northshorecruisers Posted July 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Interested to hear what other people think of the Glass Blowing Factory. We are planning to go there on our cruise in October. In Mazatlan, we'll be doing Randi's Happy Horses with some others on our Roll Call. Everyone who has done it before just raves about it.
Family Man Posted July 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2008 We went to the Glass Blowing Factory in 2005 as part of a tour that also took us down to San Jose Del Cabo and the cactus garden. Overall, it was an interesting day although I don't think just a trip to the factory would be all that exciting. Is it a part of a larger tour/excursion? If so, go for it. We rode on nice, air conditioned busses and heard about the history of the area as we drove from one place to the next.
Addictedtwo Posted July 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2008 The one where the party animals get together http://www.zoobardance.com/home.html ??? or the one where the people go to see the animals http://www.veoh.com/videos/v2666331G2PNZQmR?c=vallartazoo ??? Well I'll be darned! I did not know that they put a zoo in Mismaloya. I have never ever read, heard anyone speak of it. And it looks quite nice. I did find the botanical gardens in Mismaloya last Jan. It too was nice but small and it's located on a mountain top so the view is nice of all the vegetation. Ine Posted July 10, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2008 We were in the Zoo in Mismaloya last May. It is not big, but it is nice, with many trees and plants, real tropical. At the entrance you can buy a bag with various foods for the animals. It states what to give to which animal. My grandson loved this. You walk around, sometimes a little steep as it is hilly, it can be hot, so bring a hat and water.
