I still think it will push north into the Atlantic...

*Mach* Posted July 3, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 3, 2008 I am very new to cruising. Is it too soon to be looking at this stuff for our cruise 7/20 out of NYC? You can watch out of interest. Most of the systems that form off the west coast of Africa will take ten days or so to make an impact on the islands and the Caribbean. I'd be more concerned about something popping up locally in the Western Caribbean although there are currently no signs of such activity.
smoothecruz Posted July 4, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 4, 2008 I'm sailing out of NY tomorrow down to the carribean, I'm a bit nervous over this Bertha becoming a problem for us. My 1st time cruising so I'm alittle apprehensive.

Worried and bummed! galstx
