DublinLass Posted July 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2008 Do you have to be a strong swimmer to swim with the dolphins or can none swimmers do it too. I noticed people are wearing some form of swim jacket. One of our party would love to do it but cant swim that well.
crystalh256 Posted July 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2008 You do wear a lifejacket. The only swimming required is to be able to swim out several yards to give the dolphins room to get to you!! It is an awesome experience. click below to see a picture from our dolphin swim.:D
gail811 Posted July 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2008 Lifejackets are required at the swim in Cozumel. You must be able to "swim" out for the Royal Swim, far enough for the dolphins to have room to push you back in. My sister did this and has no use of her left arm due to a stroke. A strong dog paddle will get you out as far as you need to be.
