maple Posted July 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2008 The cruise lines used to offer horseback riding in Juneau and Skagway. I rode in Juneau in 2001. I noticed in 2005 when I cruised again they had discontinued that ride and now only offer one in Skagway. There is a private company in Canada that does a horseback riding tour that is not connected with the ships agendas. They are north of Skagway. If your ship is going to Sitka they are probably going to skip Skagway. I could be wrong. I found it very interesting to talk to these horse people about how they hauled their horses up there and got their feed.
snowmc Posted July 8, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2008 There is horseback riding in Skagway, but that is the only port I have seen it advertised in.
