gammongirl Posted July 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2008 We'll be staying at the Pan Pacific in Vancouver Aug 4 - Aug 6. It's going to be a post-Alaskan cruise stay. I haven't mapped out what sites we want to see so this question may be tough to answer, but would you recommend a rental car for those 3 days? Are there certain not-to-miss activities/sites that a rental car would be required?

Are there certain not-to-miss activities/sites that a rental car would be required? All of the biggies are here, Avis, National, Alamo, Enterprise, Hertz and Budget. I tend to be a Budget guy but I would advise you to get some quotes. Things that you will want to see would include: Stanely Park Stanley Park Aquarium Granville Island Capilano Suspension Bridge Grouse Mountain Skyride Cleveland Dam Capilano Salmon Hatchery Gastown Yaletown Queen Elizabeth Park Van Dussen Botanical Gardens
gammongirl Posted July 7, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Thanks for the list of sites! Would you advise having a rental car for these, or are cheap taxis / public transportation/ or walking options?
