Miami Airport

We are booked on a Cruise leaving Miami on Feb 13th. The Miami Boat Show starts Feb 12th, so hotels, especially near the port, are very expensive if you can get one at all. We had planned flying into FLL and stay there for the night but United has changed our plans. They no lomger fly to FLL and are now sending us to Miami. We found a hotel (Springhills Suites ) at the airport. My question is, does anyone know if there are any good restaurants near the Springhill Suites or the airport? Do we need to rent a car for the night or will cabs work? Thanks for your help.;)

Cabs should be fine, I would call the Springhill and ask them if there are close places to eat. Sounds strange - but - you could always take their shuttle back and forth from the airport to eat there. It would be free too.
