vossjemi Posted October 16, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2004 We will be leaving our kids behind for our cruise in jan. When we get to our ports, we'd like to be able to call home and check on everything. When we were in Jamaica and Cozumel, they had international calling stations where you could buy calling cards to call home. Does Puerto Limon, Costa Rica have something similar? If so, where is the calling station located? And what is the approximate cost of a calling card & how many minutes do you get? Thanks!:)
CRUISAYEAR Posted October 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2004 When you exit the ship, you'll walk about a hundred yards across a large open wharf area. First thing you get to is a good sized bazaar with lots of stalls of local craftspeople. (some really cool stuff here, and the vendors were very nice). If you continue straight ahead, the next thing you get to is a building. There is a calling station right as you go in. Can't tell you of costs or calling cards because I didn't use it. More shops in the building, and if you exit the building on the opposite side from which you entered, your now on the sidewalk on the corner of a three way intersection of more stores, shops, eateries, and bars.
