Kathy130 Posted July 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2008 If our ship is only in Bermuda from 1-6. From the Dockyard, what's the quickest way to Horseshoe Bay, and in case we choose St. Georges instead, the quickest way from the Dockyard to St.Georges. With so little time we can't waste any. Thanks in advance for your help.
The Queen Posted July 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Dockyard....ferry is 1 hour. Might be quicker by taxi but would be very expensive. Horeshoe Bay...bus is about 30 - 40 minutes (tops). Taxi is quicker. For 6 of us in a taxi it cost about $55 last year.

Thanks in advance for your help. The quickest way to Horseshoe Bay from the dockyard would either be a taxi or the special bus that goes non stop to that beach. It is about a 30 minute trip. St George is very nice but at the other end of the island. You could take the 2 PM ferry there, which is the fastest way. It would take about 30 to 40 minutes. You couldn't stay too long as the last ferries service to the dockyard leaves at 3 PM and 4 PM. You have to be careful not to miss the ship. If you stay in the dockyard area, in addition to Horseshoe Bay there is a crafts center and mall in the dockyard. Near the mall you can visit the glass studio and watch them blow glass and make rum cakes, including free samples. If you can get in before 4 PM, the British Maritime Museum is very interesting and contains Dolphin Quest.
