children and restricted areas of ship

Our upcoming Sept cruise will be our first with the children DD8, DS6, and DD4. I want the trip to be as pleasant as possible for us as well as other passengers. We are sailing the Fascination. Are there areas of the ship that children are not allowed? I would assume the Casino, the spa and gym no worries there, they can gamble online. ;) I am confused about the hot tubs, will not allow the children in there anyways. Are there any others I need to know and areas that children may be allowed but frowned apon. I do plan on taking DD8 both well dressed and behaved to tea. Can we play a game in the Library or is it hush, hush? DD8 would love to do family friendly karaoke.

While this is our 6th cruise the children have always visited grandparents. I will say that when DH and I have been on previous cruises we were never concerned about children and their behavior. If anything they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Whenever possible I tried to lend a helping hand to parents holding elevators etc. I hope good karma will befall our vacation as well.

I haven't sailed Fascination, but we've done 7 Carnival cruises with our kids. On our cruises, we have seen hot tubs marked "adults only," but aside from those the kids can use the hot tubs. Some ships also have an "adults only" pool. We did have one cruise where a couple of kids decided to have a "water war" in the hot tub (not adults only) - I just put on my best Mom voice and said "Come on guys - no splashing" and they very sheepishly settled down.;)

We've also brought our 8 YO son to tea with us - there won't be very many kids, but they're welcome. I've seen some posts where people have mentioned that they had lemonade available during tea, although I haven't seen that on any of our cruises.

I haven't used the library, but I've seen several families using the board games there. Our kids bring a deck of cards and play "war" in the cabin in late afternoon before dinner. It's a nice "down" time.

I know there are age limits (16 and up) on karaoke depending on the time of night. It should be listed in your Capers.

I think there's an hour or so of family karaoke time (maybe about 9-10?) then its adult's only. Also, the Valor had kamikaze karaoke, which was during the day, and just on one of the main pass throughs of the ship. There didn't seem to be an age limit for that, but it also didn't seem like anyone was paying attention
