Getting home from Quebec City (to the UK)

Recommended Posts

We're thinking of going on the NYC-Quebec cruise in September (Eurodam). We live in London (England). It doesn't look very easy to fly from Quebec to the UK (requires at least one stop/change) and seems to be very expensive. In fact the best way, although it seems rather long and tedious, seems to be to get a train to Montreal, transfer to Trudeau airport and fly from there. Does anyone have any experience of travelling home from Quebec City? Is the idea of transferring by train to Montreal airport a good one? Any advice will be very welcome.

You can take the bus or train from Quebec to Montreal and then fly back on a number of airlines. Check out Zoom, Air Transat, Globespan and Thomas Cook.

You can also buy a one-way ticket from Quebec City to New York and connect with a round-trip ticket in New York.

Unlike other county, Canada has all the charges for flights as seperate charges, including the navigation fees and other fees, like customs clearance and airport usage. Because of this, many Montrealers sometimes travel by car and fly from US airports.
