Tipping cabin steward $'s Euro's (In Europe)

Recommended Posts

For those which have cruised a European itinerary....

How much have you tipped your steward....?

In $'s per day.....?

In Euros's per day.......?

Do you tip each day, morning, afternoon, evening or at the end of the cruise?

On NCL ships, $10 per day per person will be charged to your account for tips to room stewards and dining room staff. There is no need for additional tipping to these staff members unless something out of the ordinary is done for you, or you--for whatever reason--feel that you'd like to tip something additional. I would think the crew member would be delighted with either dollars or euros.

Yep i understand about the $10 per day added to your account.

But what about if you did want to tip, how much in Euro's per day would you say or if not in Euro's in Dollars per day?

For Example.....Cabin Steward bring room service/breakfast?

.................... Bags brought to your room

.....................Drink brought to you by the pool

.....................Tendering tips?

Any info would be great

Usually dining room staff bring room service. A dollar or two or three depending on how much you've ordered. Bags will be brought to your room while you are at lunch or at muster drill or otherwise exploring the ship. No tipping necessary. 15% is added to all bar bills as a tip, so nothing more is necessary unless you feel it appropriate. I'm not aware of anyone tipping tender operators. If you require some kind of extraordinary assistance while tendering perhaps something would be appropriate.

Paul--

On my recent Baltic cruise, we tipped the cabin stewards--in dollars because we'd used all our foreign currency--$20 apiece. We also tipped for room service--$1 or $2--depending on how much we ordered.

Enjoy your cruise! :)
