Booking Shore Excursions

I am a first time cruiser and came across a post somewhere on the forum that mentioned you can book shore excursions in your stateroom on your TV. Does Celebrity offer this service? If so, is it only available on certain ships?

We are leaving for our Alaskan cruise next Friday and were a little slow with purchasing our excursions in advance. They are no longer available to book online.

Thanks in advance,

Jess

I would recommend you book at the shore excursion desk as early as possible, in order to increase the likelihood of getting the tours you are interested in. The popular ones - if still available - sell out fast at the shore excursion desk.

On the other hand, you can book private tours. If you do your research well, the tours will as good as or even better compared to the ones offered by the cruise line, at much lower cost. You can find a wealth of information and very helpful fellow cruisers on the Alaska board.

Cheers,

Thom

If you book from your stateroom it will be faster than standing in line at shore excursion desk and far easier. Do it as soon as you get aboard and don't lose time by fooling with the desk,

You are actually very lucky, as tours in Alaska are plentiful and almost every tour is worth it. You can even find some tours that you can sign up for right near the pier from private companies, but make sure you will be back before the ship sails. Have a wonderful time in Alaska. It is a beautiful cruise area.
