lostinplace Posted October 18, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2004 We'll be in Belize in January on Splendor. My parents will be along and my mom doesn't walk very far/very fast. I'm looking for an excursion with a minimal amount of walking. Something in air conditioning or at least shaded would be great. Looking at thr Royal Caribbean offered trips I was thinking of the following: A Tale of Two Cities: ...focuses on the contrast bewtween...Altun ha and Modern Belize City. Mangrove Tunnels and City Museum ...Museum of Belize...board comfortable boats for a leisurly cruise up the Haulover Creek. Any input is appreciated. MikeandAmy Posted October 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2004 We took the Mangrove Tunnel & Museum Tour with NCL last week and there is very little walking. You board a small boat which takes you to the creek and it's about an 1 and 1/2 of the boat tour, nice and shady too. Then they take you to the museum which is an air conditioned bus. The only draw back is the museum does not have a/c but only in 2 rooms but there are places to sit and relax. Hope this info helps!
