What is Monkey Bay?

We are going with Coral Breezes and doing Belize Zoo and they are also taking us to Monkey Bay. What is Monkey Bay? What can I expect? I have 2 DS 11 & 8.

Hi, OSU cruiser! (Our daughter starts at Ohio State in September! :D )

 

We are doing a different Coral Breezes tour in a few weeks (snorkeling), but I looked on their website, (I've become quite familiar with it!) and they have a few pictures. It looks like Monkey Bay is just a little place by a river, where you can take a dip, or walk through the woods. Doesn't look too exciting, but it looks like the kind of thing my family would enjoy, especially when they were your kids' ages. They loved exploring.

 

Hopefully someone will chime in with a personal experience.

That is kind of what I was thinking.... They mentioned swimming, so I was kinda of thrown off. We have a busy 4 port trip, so I want to plan accordingly! Does your excursion stop at Monkey Bay?

I-O!! Dh is an alumnus, but I went to Miami. (in Oxford) Love Ohio State, though. (I've only begun writing the checks, LOL!)

 

Go to their website (coralbreezetours. com) and click on the Belize Zoo option on the left. If you "view more photos," you'll see the little place by the river.

 

We are taking the tour where we snorkel, go to Bannister beach, then look for manatees. No Monkey Bay.

 

We leave in two weeks!!:D

OSUcruiser, when are you doing the Belize Zoo & Monkey Bay Tour? We're hoping to do this next month, but haven't heard any reviews on this particular excursion, since most people seem to do the cave tubing or zip lining. I would love to hear about your experience when you get back.
