Excursions in St Johns - HELP

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been to St. Johns' and did you do any of the ship's excursions? We will be there from 9-5 and I need sugeestions. Is it interesting enough to just wander the city or should we take a tour outside the city such as St. Andrews or St. Martin's? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, you will not be in St. John's as it is in Newfoundland. You will be in Saint John, New Brunswick. If you look down this forum, you will find a thread entitled "Updated for 2008, FAQ's about Saint John, New Brunswick" Acey has provided a wealth of info on Saint John for cruisers and I am sure you will find it very useful. St. Martins is about a 45 minute drive away and St. Andrews is about an hour and ten or fifteen minutes.

Thanks for the correction.

You are most welcome. I would hate to see you arrive in our city to find the private excursions you arranged were located 800 miles away!!!

Or getting picketed by angry locals for having contracted the St. in Saint John. Or worse... be pelted with Deluxe French Fries. (Have a Deluxe Day!)

I am having trouble trying to decide if you are being snarky or humourous. I genuinely don't want people to make costly mistakes. It happens all the time.

I appreciated the correction. I did not realize that there were two places so similar in name. Thanks again.

Happy to help and I hope you have a wonderful cruise with good weather!
