d&a Delaware Posted July 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2008 Does anyone have any information on (highpockets) . I hear it's a boat ride and snorkeling. If anyone has any info ,i'd appreciate it .Thanks Fritz:) Fritz, Highpockets is a sailboat which does day sails wich include stops for snorkeling, lunch served, drinks provided. These daysails can be pricey but are a great excursion if you can synch the time with the time your ship is in port. Highpockets is liscensed to carry up to 6 passengers, so it is a very intimate experience. There are other 6 passenger boats operating in St. Thomas, most of them out of Red Hook (as is Highpockets), but several out of Charlotte Amalie harbor itself. We did a fantastic daysail this past March on the "Lou" with Captain Max. We saw Highpockets, and she is a very neat looking sailboat. Another popular one is Rumbaba, also out of Red Hook. Lots of info about these daysails on the St. Thomas board of Cruise Critic. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=133 Ask lots of daysail questions, even about specific boats and you'll get some very helpful responses. Make sure you will have enough time in port to do a daysail. Some boat operators offer half day options. If timing is tight, you might want to consider the boats sailing out of Charlotte Amalie harbor, avoiding the time and expense of a taxi ride to Red Hook. P.A.C.R.U.I.S.E.R Posted July 24, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted July 24, 2008 David, thank you so much for your information. I hope my wife and I can possibly connect with one of the day tours. I also see we are sailing on the same cruise from Cape Liberty. Fritz;)
