NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL

800 AM EDT THU JUL 24 2008

 

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

 

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL

STORM DOLLY...CENTERED INLAND TEXAS ABOUT 50 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF

LAREDO.

 

A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...ASSOCIATED WITH A LARGE

WESTWARD-MOVING TROPICAL WAVE...IS LOCATED OVER THE TROPICAL

EASTERN ATLANTIC ABOUT 650 MILES WEST OF THE CAPE VERDE

ISLANDS. SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM IS NOT EXPECTED

DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

 

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
