Ship departs at 4 - what time can we board?

We are sailing Triumph in March out of Miami - it shows that we dept. Miami at 4 so what time can we board?

They usually begin boarding around 11:30 or so. But posted boarding time is 1:30 I think.

boarding wilol start around 11.30, but staterooms will not be available before 1.30 pm

It truly depends on how quickly the previous passengers exit the ship. They may start as early as 10:30am or 11:00am. You can never count on boarding before the time listed by Carnival but it frequently happens much earlier.

I like to be on board by 12 noon if I can. I can start my vacation that much sooner.

the latest time to board will be by 245 pm. We arrive at port about 10, by the time we drop our luggage off, park, and get inside, it is about 1030. And usually at 11, we are escorted on to the ship.

The earliest I have boarded is 11:15. But, it depends on how long customs needs to spend with the previous sailing.

I like to be one of the first on to avoid the long lunch lines and to get the vacation started :) Usually about 11:30 to 11:35 they will start the boarding process. The first to get on are VIP & Platinum guests, after that they call people by the number on the card you are given when you check in.

when did they start this procedure? Last cruise we took in Feb we got right on after they started letting people on.
