Cheapest transportation from MIA to port??

Hi! I am cruising out of Miami in October on Carnival. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to get to the port? Carnival offers a transportation service, but is it cheaper to just take a cab?

 

what is the cab fare from MIA to the port?

Last I was there (April 2008) it was $24. Definitely the way to go if there are at least two of you.

It will save you time by taking the cab. And if you run into anyone else heading to the port, you can split the $24 fare even more! AVOID any shuttles. It's a waste of time and money. You'll be sitting around waiting for everyone else to get their luggage, find the shuttles etc. Just head for the cab stand and you'll be at the port within a half hour. Have a great time!
