UKCruiser_2008 Posted July 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2008 I am trying to figure out where we should stay when we arrve back in Miami after our cruise. It is going to be awkward because we will be arriving way before check-in time (probably around 11:00 am) and will want somewhere to put our luggage. We are hoping to spend the day looking around Miami and then the next day leave at around 5 pm for the airport (flight to UK at 8:30pm). But of course, hotels like you to check out in the morning ... so what can we do with all our luggage? Are some hotels flexible about this sort of thing? We would also like a hotel which is: a) close to interesting places in Miami b) free wireless internet c) free airport shuttle d) quiet Our budget is anything up to £
2PinaColadas Posted July 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2008 We stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It is across the street from Bayside Marketplace, which had shops and lots of restaurants. It was only about 10 minutes to South Beach. When we got off our ship, we went to the hotel and they kept our luggage until we checked-in. (locked up in a room near the front desk). Not sure of cost. eandj Posted July 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2008 You can always drop your luggage off at ANY hotel you choose if your room isn't ready. They'll hold it till you can check in. South Beach area is interesting and fun. Rates will be dependent on WHEN you will be there.
floridacruiser63 Posted July 28, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2008 Most hotels will store your luggage for you, if you are staying there and your room is not ready when you arrive. Have a great time!:)
henepup Posted July 28, 2008 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2008 The only hotels, that I found with free shuttles, are near the airport. There isn't much to do in that area. Holiday Inn downtown is very near the Bayside Market, very fun place to watch the ships come and go...its right on the water.
