I am a first time cruiser,,,,going on Century in Sept. a Mediterran cruise. Not a big gambler,,,,but will want to try my luck. Should I bring quarters or leave them home....not sure if I would be over my head....

Also,,does anyone know if there is a charge for WiFi in the staterooms and if so what is it. I saw that it is available on Century,,,

thanks for any and all input!

Can't answere your question about the casino - Husband took me there on our first cruise and I just wanted to see how fast I could lose the money he gave so that we could go and do some fun things. He realized that I enjoyed just about anything else than putting quarters in a machine or playing a table.

On to your question about wifi. Yes there is a charge for wi-fi actually the charge is for the internet usage. You must log into Celebrity's network in order to access the internet.

Subject: Internet Access

All of our ships have Internet Cafes. Internet access is available in the Internet Café 24 hours a day until 6:00 AM on debarkation Day.

Wireless access points are located in several areas around the ship. To access wireless internet, you will need to bring along your own laptop.

In order to take advantage of this service, the guest must bring their own laptop, which must have the following requirements:

• Windows-based operating systems

• Internal modem

• Dial-up Internet capabilities

• Wireless access card.

Internet minutes are available at 5 different rates:

• $0.65 cents per minute with no package.

• $40 for 75 minutes

• $60 for 125 minutes

• $80 for 185 minutes

• $100 for 260 minutes.

Please Note:

• Apple MAC default browser (Safari) is not compatible with the Wireless network onboard. Please obtain Firefox or Internet Explorer for MAC prior to accessing the Wireless system onboard

Might as well leave them at home. Don't know if they work in the slots or not, but Celebrity has very tight slots and you aren't likely to win anyhow, so can't see any reason to take "gambling money" with you.

There was a thread two years ago wherein it was stated that the pots that build up are cleared after every trip and brought back down to the minimum dollar amount. So even though nobody won them, they don't keep them over for the next cruisers.
