Layover In Miami - 11:10am - 5:30pm

For all you who really know Miami - We have a somewhat long connection there on a Saturday. I don't think it's long enough to rent a car and go anywhere but I really don't want to spend the whole time just in the airport. Any suggestions? Of course, we'll have our carry on luggage with us.

We once took a post cruise excursion from RCI that was like a city tour with a boat tour around Fisher Island (very interesting) and then dropped us off at the airport. It was a great way to kill the time.

Well I don't know Miami that well but I would take a cab to Bayside Market. If it's a sunny day it would be perfect. Walk around, do some shopping, relax and watch some of the boats/yachts, enjoy a drink and just people watch. It is basically an outside mall with shops, restaurtants and neat things to see.

You won't be able to leave your checked luggage at the airport until 4 hours prior to your flight though will you? What could you do with it at Bayside?
