jschafer6161 Posted July 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2008 We are going on the Southern Carribean in March. In all but 2 of our 6 ports, we are the only ship in port - the other 2, there is only 1 other ship in port with us. what will we notice? Will we have a better chance of getting a better deal with island tour companies, etc.? the good thing is I guess we'll have more of the islands to ourselves! Now, I just have to decide what to do in St. Thomas and the rest!
richtersl Posted July 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2008 On St. Thomas and St. John you'll have your pick of places from which to choose. Lucky you! :D Not 100% sure about the better deal with tour companies. Depending on the tour company, you may be able to negotiate something. It never hurts to ask. ;)
cruise4kicks Posted July 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2008 The merchants may be more willing to cut better deals with fewer passengers in port. ;) Lucky you!
Katfncy Posted July 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Hey, I'm on that cruise with you. How did you find out that we were the only ship in port must of the time or just one other?
