Marriott Biscayne Bay and Hertz

Has anyone rented a car from FLL and stayed at Marriott Biscayne Bay? According to the Hertz site there is a drop off there for hotel guests but I haven't seen anyone on here talk about it. Seems like it would be convenient to drop off the car then get a taxi from hotel. Any input is appreciated. Also how is the hotel? TIA

The hotel is pretty nice, right by the Hilton downtown. A cab to the port should only cost about $10.00

We stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay back in 2006 and had a nice view of the port from our window:

 

Regarding Hertz: Yes, there is a Hertz counter in the hotel. We did what you are contemplating - rent a car from FLL and drove to Miami and later dropped the car off at the hotel and took a cab to the port. The best part is if you want to drop your car off late the night before the cruise (as we did) they accept after hours drop off. Just bring your car to the valet and tell them you are returning it to Hertz - they'll take the keys and stamp the paperwork with the time you dropped it off.
