Buckets of Beer?

Does anyone know if the "bucket of beer" bottles all have to be opened at the time of purchase? This way, a bottle or two can be saved for later or the next day?

Yes , you can and most do save a few to bring back to the room,

I had them open one and I left the rest alone until I wanted another one opened. I would just ask one of the waiter people who walk by to open it for me. In the room I had a bottle opener (provided by ncl) so I never had a problem getting my beer open :D

I found on the Dawn that you can bring them back to your room and they'll exchange them for cold ones later. We loved that.I usually have a small bottle opener with me to open my own but the bartenders aren't far if you want one open.

We bought a bucket on the last day and had two left over. We took them to the restaurant that night and asked to have them opened. The waitress asked the Maitre D and he said it was OK. They brought us two glasses. It was kind of tacky but it was the last day and we were not about to throw them away.
