scouseduck Posted August 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2008 I will be going on my first cruise on the celebration shortly. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if the sports facilities on board are free to use, eg the gym, sports classes and hire of rackets etc. Thanks scouseduck
kruzseeka Posted August 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2008 In the A-Z guide of cruise info (back of the brochure) there is a bit about 'extra charges aboard ship'. It mentions: shore excursions, some entertainment e.g. bingo, beauty treatments, hairdressing, casino, laundry service, safety deposit boxes and purchases from the shops. Also the cover charge for such as 'Zilli's' restaurant. There's no reference to the gym or sports activities - so it looks as though it's free - but not having used those facilities (I know I should given how much weight I put on during a cruise!!!!) I'm not speaking from first hand experience. I'm sure it won't be long before someone will be able to confirm this for you. Enjoy your first cruise - we love the Celebration it's such a friendly ship.

Sports wise table tennis bats & balls were free. The basketball court was so small no constructive game could be played- but use of it was free and a ball provided.Hopefully someone from Celebration will help you.
