travelgoddes Posted April 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2004 in time for dinner. Or is it pretty casual the first night. The last time we cruised, it was the Destiny, and over half the folks at dinner that first night were in shorts and jeans because they did not have their luggage. We are cruising on the Navigator 4/17. Bon Voyage, Mary
superjerryw Posted April 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2004 Dinner the first night is very casual as many passengers have yet to receive their luggage. <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=03> <param name="day" value=19> <param name="hour" value=17> </applet> Donuts, is there anything they can't do.... bobbie0253 Posted April 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2004 We have gotten our luggage on RCI every cruise we have done before dinner. It is very casual though. If you don't get yours in time, don't worry. Just about anything goes the first night. Happy Cruising, Bobbie Voyager of the Seas in.... KStevens79 Posted April 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2004 I have always packed a carry-on with our dinner clothes. But like everyone else has said, it is very casual as most people are up on deck when the ship sets sail. Our next cruise I will be up on deck and not getting ready for dinner. When we sailed Voyager, people driving down the street were pulling over and waving to watch this humongous ship sail out. D4 Posted April 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2004 Don't worry about it. We always go the first night in shorts because even if we have received our luggage before then, we're busy eating, exploring the ship, and doing the muster drill. Shoreline23 Posted April 11, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2004 Sometimes it may take awhile for the cabin attendant to bring your luggage. Last cruise we found our own luggage outside one of the service elevators on the deck we were staying. Place a colored ribbon on the handle to identify it easier.
