Beer or other alcoholic beverages cannot be sold at a supermarket in Cayman. You will need to go to a liquor store.

You can try Big Daddy's Liquor Store in the Seven Mile Shops or Blackbeards Liquor Store next to the Foster's IGA grocery at The Strand. Some liquor stores also sell snacks.

When one gets off the tender where would they find either of these stores? Which way do we go:confused: First time on this island for us.

Neither of these are within short walking distance from the cruise ship port.

Big Daddys at Seven Mile Shops is a shopping center at 215 West Bay Road, about a mile north of the port.

Blackbeards by Fosters at The Strand is at 46 Canal Point Drive (just off West Bay Road) but probably 4 miles or so from the port.

If you buy your own beers, can you just sit and drink them on the beach or wherever?

We just got back from a short cruise to Nassau last month, and we loved that you could walk into any of the many shops, buy a beer which they'd slip in a little paper bag, and then walk around wherever you wanted while you drank it!

Thanks!
