anybody tried the shuttle from this hotel to the port? does it run often and have room for luggage? do they offer a shuttle from newark airport? thanks joan

I just stayed at this motel mid July. There is no shuttle to the pier from the motel per se. My understanding was you pay an additional fee for the room and as a package, they will give you vouchers for cabs to the pier and from the pier back there (usually that's to retrieve your car in their secured lot). Theyll call a cab for you to get to the pier but you would call the cab from the pier to get back to the motel or I know for us, they offered us their number and said we could call them and they'd have a cab dispatched to pick us up.

 

Yes they do have a shuttle to from AP and motel. When you land at Newark, take the Airtran to stop P4 and that is where all the motel pickups are. There shuttle runs on a schedule (don't bother looking at the board to all the other motels, they are not listed there). Just wait and they come twice an hour for pickup. If you feel you have been waiting a long time, call the motel and they'll tell you where the driver currently is and how much longer till you see him (should there be a traffic jam, he needs to get gas, etc.) BTW, this motel worked well for us and I was pleased with it (not the Ritz Carlton and not some dive) - think Hoilday Inn and you won't be disappointed.
