Lady C Posted August 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2008  We are booked to cruise on the Queen Victoria in September. We have taken 42 cruises so far but this is only our second on Cunard. We have previously done RCCL, Celebrity, P&O, Princess, Radisson, Silver Seas, Norwegian cruise lines etc. What are the percentages of passengers who dress for the formal, semi formal evenings etc? We have noticed recently that passengers have not always adhered to the dress codes and we find this very disappointing as part of our cruising holidays are the 'dressing up'. Many thanks for your help, Lady C

Lady C Just got off the QV Norway cruise and I can report that 100% of the passengers dress for formal night. No nude passengers were seen even in the Britannia Dining Room.:D Seriously, on Cunard, most everyone takes the formal night dress code very seriously and most men have tuxes and a lesser number wear dark suits and I don't remember anyone wearing a sports jacket...probably because the dress code does not permit it. Semi formal nights finds everyone in sport jackets or suits and a tie. More than any other cruise line I have been on the passengers on Cunard adhere to the published dress code...even the Americans.
