aaronk56 Posted August 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2008 There has been a few threads about the PokerPro tables on Carnival. I just returned from the 5 night Canada cruise out of New York on the Carnival Victory. The poker table was strictly 1/2 NL for the whole cruise, even though the Carnival Caper made it appear they were running Sit and Go tournaments at various times. The rake was a ridiculous 15% up to a max of $10.00 per hand. Fortunately, most players were incredibly bad, so I and my son made almost as much as the cruise cost me for two rooms and four people. BDCRUISE1 Posted August 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Careful what you wish for.....donks are dangerous! Sometimes, not understanding hands and when to fold can be very helpful.

Yep...Low limit is hard to scare people off hands. People can have no knowledge of the game and do quite well. I have seen it more times that not on ships. CTMak Posted August 12, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2008 Jumping subject, you find the same at the BJ tables! I just came back from the Victory (8\4 cruise). I posted a review and mentioned that the guy to my left at BJ stood on a soft 15. Killed me!!! So low limits have a downside! CT Mak
