Just off the Diamond; Answer anything for anyone?

Someone did this before we cruised, and I found it helpful, so, to pay it forward, anybody have any questions about the Diamond? We were on the 8-2 Northbound.

On Diamond twice over the next year,

 

so what was your number spot, and why,

 

what did you not like about the ship,

 

which was your best port,

 

what was your best trip,

 

if you could change some thing what would it be,

 

if you had more time what would have done.

so what was your number spot, and why,

 

we were in D119. We enjoyed being forward, as the stern seemed to have some slight vibration. We also enjoyed being on the level where the balcony was the furthest out, and therefore had a view, direct down, of the water.

 

what did you not like about the ship,

 

The doors between balconys did not lock, or latch. There was no bottle opener in the cabin. On level 5 or 6, near the center, we would get stuck because of either a dining room or something else, as that level did not have a way to pass through. The activities did not always come off as indicated in the patter.

 

 

which was your best port,

 

All three, Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway, but for different reasons. Skagway was the best shopping port for carved whale bone/walrus, etc.

 

 

what was your best trip,

 

we liked the Helicopter to Juneau, I enjoyed rock fishing in ketchikan, and the boys l (10 and 8)oved the dog mushing in skagway (although it was not our(mom and dad) top tour)

 

 

if you could change some thing what would it be,

 

a bit more time on the glaciers, either in glacier bay or college fjord

 

if you had more time what would have done.

 

It was a pretty full week. But, if there would have been more time at Ketchikan, more time on the water fishing would have been nice.
