arb711 Posted August 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2008 On Elation to Mexico in 12 days (but who's counting? :D ) I know it's going to be hot in port (Cabo and Ensenada), but what is the temperature generally on the ship, e.g. for dinner, activities on sea days, etc.? Trying hard to not pack everything I own....
cathyz Posted August 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Some of the lounges and dining rooms can be a bit cool, they do tend to crank the a/c. I don't have a problem and never wear a sweater, but see lots of people who do.
5KSnuts Posted August 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2008 I didn't take a sweater/jacket and wished I had. Was always a little too cool in the dining room.
jdbmga Posted August 11, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2008 I brought a sweater/jacket and I was glad I had it. I am cold blooded so I usually never go anywhere without one. After dinner I often changed into a pair of jeans as well b/c I was cold in shorts and capris.
Rowan555 Posted August 11, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2008 I usually bring a lightweight sweater, and often need it. One area of the ship that is SUPER cold is Camp Carnival - in fact, they have a sign on the door suggesting jackets and long pants for the kids. This always makes me laugh, as WHO is going to pack jackets and long pants for a Mexican cruise? Of course now we know, but we didn't when we first began cruising. arb711 Posted August 11, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Fantastic, thanks to all. My last cruise was to Alaska, and you know you're going to need long sleeved shirts on that one, but I wasn't sure about this time - sounds like I should bring a few! Oh well, so much for packing light....
