CaneCruiser Posted August 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2008 We will be arriving at JFK the morning of our Cunard Cruise out of Red Hook. I was wondering if anyone new of a grocery store along the way so that we could pick up a few things for our 1 year old that we know she will eat? Around how much will the car service charge for this stop? Thanks for your help.

Fairway at the end of Van Brundt street is an upscale food store which has both regular and a large line or organic children's food. http://www.fairwaymarket.com its the Red Hook Store. There is also a Pathmark Supermarket at Hamilton and 14th Street(you can't miss it). http://www.pathmark.com Most car services will charge between 5-10 or more depending on the length of the stop for an extra stop. if you are in Yellow cab they have to wait for you and its 40 cents per 60 seconds I believe http://www.nyc.gov/html/tlc/html/passenger/taxicab_rate.shtml
