tugboatjulie Posted August 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Anyone done this? What company? Where did you go? As good as what you'll see/do if snorkeling there? I want to go to the barrier reef, see the rays/sharks and visit C.Caye. Is this a "go" with snuba?? Thanks! Julie
The Flying Pirate Posted August 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2008 Hi Julie, I have been to Belize several times and the SNUBA is ok, I personally would rather snorkel since you are more free to swim. With the Snuba you are tied not only to the raft but 3 other divers. The reef is amazing, everything they say it is. If you have a chance book a tour that is going to Hol-Chan and Shark-Ray Alley. Hol-Chan is one of the marine parks and it is one of the best dive/snorkel sites I have ever been too.
tugboatjulie Posted August 19, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted August 19, 2008 Did you book your tours through the ship or a company?? or, which local company did you use? Do they give beginners any kind of instructions? I'm looking at Coral Breeze Tours per CC recs. Thanks, Julie
The Flying Pirate Posted August 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2008 Hi Julie, We used FAB Tours out of Belize City. I have been down there several times with work and used them, so when we went back on the ship we used them again. We have also done oneof the cattle boat snorkeling trips we booked through the ship and it was terrible. You can find Fabtours on the web at www.fabtoursbelize.com the guy I worked with in the past is Bernie and his e-mail is blino7@hotmail.com He was very helpful.
