RCCL excursion on Margarita Island

Hi everyone! Has anyone been on the RCCL excursion to La Restinga and Punta Arenas? These are the two places I have decided I want to visit when we go to Margarita Island in January next year and I am debating whether to take the ship excursion (which I usually don't do) or try to hire a taxi for the day. I did it on my own in Progresso rather than taking the ship excursion to Celestun and it turned out badly (went all the way there and then had to turn around and come back, almost missed the ship, and never got to see the flamingos!!!) and then when we got home I read a review of the ship excursion (from our exact sailing) that said it was great and I was really upset that I had made the wrong choice. Wish that review had been two weeks earlier! haha. Anyway, if anyone has done this it would be great to hear about it. Thanks a lot.
