Not for Beach, swim or Dive! What else to do here??

Since we fall into the 'oldies' category - (but still active) and do not wish to swim, dive or lay in the sand, about the only thing left seems to be a visit to the zoo or perhaps 'shopping'!!

 

I'm almost ready to sign-up for the time-share sales presentations!!

belize has some of the best mayan ruins...

some of them are a full day's excursions, but the trip through the countryside is interesting, also. the ones in belize shouldn't be called "ruins", since they are still intact and looks like they could still be an active site today.

There are several Mayan ruins tours which are wonderful. My husband didn't want to do a ruins tour but I talked him into trying it and he loved it. We want to return to Belize to see another one of the ruins around Belize.

 

We did Altun Ha and on our next trip we plan to do the Lamani ruins.

We are debating on the Ruins and the Becab Jungle Bike Tour. We aren't interested in sunbathing and DH doesn't like to snorkle.

Don't know what you consider "Oldies" but in 2005 we did the River Wallace/Altun Ha excursion thru Carnival. There really was not much walking. The boat ride on the river was really nice, and the runis were really nice. In 2 weeks we are going back and this time doing the tubing.

On one of our trips we did one of the taxi tours. It was just us and our tour guide. She gave us a nice tour of the city. We visited some museum. :) Then we spent the afternoon at the zoo. They have a fabulous zoo. It's small but a great variety of creatures.
