Shirley and Les Posted August 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2008 We stayed in cabin 7139 on the Millie early this year. As a bit of background, we booked a guarantee balcony at an extremely good price and "X" put us in 7139. Our TA told us we were subject to being reassigned if someone with a need for an accessible cabin wanted to book but this didn't occur. We did not take any photos of the cabin. The cabin is immediately adjacent to the midship glass elevator bay and this is a great location. From these elevators, it is a short distance to the deck 10 food area and the main dining rooms on decks 4 and 5. The Cova Cafe, Casino and shopping areas are all a short distance from the elevator The cabin itself was at least 1-1/2 times larger than a standard balcony cabin. In the hallway outside the cabin, there is a crossship corridor that would provide extra manuevering room for access to the cabin. As you enter, the bathroom is on the right and there is a large (4' or 5' long) mirror on the left. The mirror wall is set back about 18" so there is room to store luggage or a wheelchair in front of it. Beyond the mirror, the cabin contained the normal double closet found on the M class ships. The bathroom was extremely large so that a wheelchair could be rolled into the shower. The shower had a folding seat in it. The shower had a raised "^" shaped sill (3/4" or 1") and a shallow channel drain to prevent water from getting over the bathroom floor while still allowing easy access to the shower. There was lots of room beside the toilet and the underside of the sink was open. In the main cabin area, there was at least 3' of clearance on both sides and the foot of the bed. The cabin contained a removable ramp that could be used to provide wheelchair access to the balcony. If the ramp were in place, it would reduce a lot of the clearance at the foot of the bed. The balcony was about 15' long but it wasn't any wider than a normal balcony cabin. I cannot remember what the sill looked like on the outside of the balcony door. After writing this, I know why the old proverb says something about 'a picture is worth a thousand words'. However, I do hope this provides some help. We were very happy with the space and the location of the cabin. Les

Shirley and Les Posted August 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2008 Thank you so much for taking your time in regards to 7139 - another question - do you remember a couch? Yes. Looking from the cabin door, the left side of the cabin had the large mirror, the closet space, the desk/vanity/TV unit and a loveseat sized sleeper sofa with a glasstop cocktail table. The right side had the large bathroom, the bed and two nightstands. I can "picture" the bathroom space - was there anyplaces to store bathroom items (normal bathroom has the space under the sink. Thanks again for all help! The sink had a vanity top and there was a narrow glass shelf above the sink. Being the male in the group, I was quite happy with the amount of bathroom space ;) my DW allocated to me. Les
