Bermuda 5 day vs. 7 day

Hi gang,

 

I am looking at doing Bermuda on a cruise and of course there is the choice of 5 day vs. 7 day. Which do people prefer? With the 5 day, you are really only on the island 1 1/2 but for 7 days, you are there a little over 2 full days. Is that really long enough to see Bermuda? I spent 10 days there a few yrs. ago and still didnt' do everything I wanted but staying on islnad is just too expensive so I was looking at a cruise. Any thoughts?

I'm booked on the Norwegian dawn 7 day. 5 days is just to short for me but then again I've never been to Bermuda and I wanted to be there for the 3 days. Then any cruise I would go with the longer one if it's affordable.

We've done both 5 and 7 day Bermuda cruises. 7 is better. You staill may not see everything but you'll have more time to see things at a liesurely pace.

go for the 7 day trip. Seeing Bermuda is more important than the ship...

We've always gone for the 7 day as you want as much time in Bermuda as you can!:D On our next trip to Bermuda, well be there three full days and can't wait to go again!:cool: Go for it!;)

7 is still not enough time. We are sailing on the Dream and get about 3 days in St. George's. The longest we've been on the island was 13 days in 06. STILL NOT ENOUGH TIME. :(

Bermuda is a great place with plenty to see and do. I would stay as long as you can. Can't wait to get back.

The 5-night cruises to Bermuda are a tease. I would always choose a 7 night cruise regardless of the ship.

The 7 day is easily preferable to the 5 day. However, even the 7 day is not enough as it was when we had smaller ships docking in Hamilton and St. George. Then we could spend four days in Bermuda and only one sea day going down and back. Hopefully, the Norwegian Dawn will save fuel in 2009 and spend an extra day in Bermuda. No need for that extra sea day.

We booked a 5 night out of Baltimore for 6/09. Looking forward to it, even though we'd rather stay longer.

Totally agree about the extra day. I miss it from my last cruises!:(
