Diane F Posted November 25, 2004 #76 Share Posted November 25, 2004 I am doing this cruise Jan.4.We are taking the train to San Diego and plan on walking, which I heard was only a few blocks, from train station to ship.If we want to carry all our luggage on the ship and not check it in,is there an elevator to take up to the ship.Do they allow you to carry on your own luggage? We will not have big pieces, as the train does not allow it, and what we have will be on wheels and easy to transport, I hope. The train is supposed to arrive around 12:25, which will get us to the ship around 1.I guess that is the crowded time.Hope by Jan. things will go faster.I know in San Pedro there are lots of people to check you in.Is that not so in San Diego? wigginout66 Posted December 20, 2004 #77 Share Posted December 20, 2004 Hello all I was reading all the post about the Carnival sprit and all of your post were really helpful thank you. But I do have some questions about the cruise its about children I have a 9 year old and a 11 year old both boy I don’t know if that matter or not, I was hoping someone would let me know how the carnival kids camp is? I also was hoping to see if anyone was in the 4A category? My 11 year old get motion sickness riding in cars and getting on rids and was hoping that by me getting in the lower middle section he would not feel too much motion on the ship? Anyway we are leaving on the 4th of January of 05 and as myself being just retired from the Military I really need this so I hope you all can answer some or all of the question I have thank so much again for all of your post. PS. How is the family rooms does anyone know? It showed my a picture of the room we have and it showed two full size bed but our TA told us that they were pull down bunk beds please tell me that they are not bunk beds thanksHANGMAN get Bonine from the drug store before you go. It was made especially for seasickness. Take one the day before you go and one every morning (actually that's adult dosage - check the label (disclaimer lol)) He won't have any problems. My wife drive a Explorer and he gets very sick in her car but I drive a Avalanche and he only get sick somtimes can't seem to see why they both ride well. I don't know if they work better, but maybe something to look into. From what you say, your son seems very sensitive to motion. It'll all be good. Have a great time and remember to post reviews of the ports. :)
