Acapulco: Tropical Birds and Botanical Gardens Tour

I'm helping my parents pick shore excursions. They are sailing on Princess, have been to Acapulco many times, are elderly but in good health and mobile, and prefer ship tours.

 

Has anyone been on the Tropical Birds and Botanical Garden tour through Princess? If so, did you like it? Was the majority of the time spent traveling on the bus? Were the motorboats big or small and were lifevests provided? Did you see a lot of birds? Was it ok that the motorboat tour wasn't guided (you would think they'd point out the birds, etc.)
