starangel Posted April 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Two questions: 1. When you get off the ship what do you carry around for the day? 2. If you bring a camera, what do you do with it during water excursions such as parasailing or jet skiing? Thanks for the input and last 3. Did the ship go into Coco Cay last week? w&k Posted April 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2004 Starangel- I usually wear my fanny pack with money, etc, and carry a tote bag with a towel, water and ziploc bags for purchases. Heavy-dupy Ziplocs work OK for most gear, but if you are really worried about your camera, you can get a water/shock proof case at most larger dive shops. I'm not going until May 10, so can't help you with last week. Wendy
D4 Posted April 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2004 Here are some things we bring with us at ports: - photocopies of the first two pages of our passports, the daily ship newsletter (it has emergency phone #s for that port & the sail time), camera & its supplies, bottles of water. If you don't want to risk damage or loss to a good camera, you might consider bringing disposable cameras and zip-loc bags for the ports where you're doing water excursions. You can also bring disposable water cameras. Buy the disposable cameras before you cruise because they're very expensive on the ships. And bring them in your carry-on luggage along with all film.
