Arubamoose Posted August 25, 2008 #26 Share Posted August 25, 2008 We were on the Majesty - way forward port side - way down - heard the anchor every morning - it was our VERY LOUD alarm clock!
ILoveScotland Posted August 25, 2008 #27 Share Posted August 25, 2008 On other cruise lines we've had all the way forward and all the way aft. I personally loved the forward suite we were in on the Norwegian Dawn as we had a front deck and a side deck. Movement of the ship wasn't an issue either way. SimplyAddicted Posted August 25, 2008 #28 Share Posted August 25, 2008 I prefer mid-ship, mostly for the convenience of getting to everywhere on the ship. I didn't like my aft cabin because I felt a lot of movement, but it was also on an older ship w/o some of the modern stabilizers. I just prefer not to have to walk as far to get where I want to go. mspink98 Posted August 25, 2008 #29 Share Posted August 25, 2008 Definitely more motion, it's just a question of whether it bothers you or not. We enjoy it, but we have also said that we would think twice before recommending them to nervous/first time cruisers, or people prone to motion sickness. CL-JW Posted August 25, 2008 #30 Share Posted August 25, 2008 We booked an aft cabin on our last cruise and really didn't feel much in the way of additional movement.
Darkwolfe Posted August 25, 2008 #31 Share Posted August 25, 2008 I sleep better and rise earlier in an aft cabin than I do at home. That may be saying some bad things about my bed at home, but I'm a permanent addict to aft balcony cabins.
