outowrk Posted August 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2008 We got off the RCCL Mariner OTS yesterday in Port Canavaeral. We saw that the Sensation wasn't in port. Later we heard that she was stopping in Dt Lauderdale to drop off passengers before heading up to Canaveral, and that people wouldn't be boarding until 10 PM. Anyone know the story? Both the Disney Wonder and the Sensation could not make it into the (closed due to Fay) port on Thursday - so they both diverted to Ft. Lauderdale. Disney resumed operations here (as normal - so to speak) on Sunday. For some reason the Sensation decided to return to Ft. Lauderdale, drop off the Thursday-Sunday guests (bus them back to Orlando for their flights I assume) then return here empty for an evening embarkation yesterday. loveJake Posted August 25, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2008 Maybe she sailed from there because of Fay and they were letting people off who had cars parked there instead of bussing them the 3 1/2 hours from Cape Canaveral. If that is why nice going Carnival I would have liked that better.
